Please let the building secretary of your oldest child(ren) know if there is a need for internet service for your student(s). Distance Learning is a path that may have to be taken at any time. Hinton Schools wants to make sure all students can access online Distance Learning through the use of cell phone hotspots or by your internet provider. Many parents have a hotspot option from their cell service. Again, contact the school secretary of your oldest child to let us know if you do not have this for your home. It is important to have access and connectivity before the possibility of Distance Learning happens for your child(ren). Call 405-542-3235 and press the extension needed to talk to the secretary.

Please note these important changes concerning fans and attendance at Hinton athletic events this season. 1. Social distancing and masks are strongly recommended. Steps are being taken to provide more space in the bleachers at football games. 2. Only school personnel, officials, and student athletes are allowed on the field. This includes before, during, and after games. 3. Any adults that are on field (primarily for pictures) must have prior approval from Mr. Hohmann. These individuals must also wear a mask at all times while on the sidelines. These individuals may only be the Hinton sideline and not in the area where players are gathered. 4. For those fans sitting in the bleachers, we ask that you do not chew sunflower seeds. 5. For senior night, we will allow the athlete and their parents to be on field for introductions. Masks will not be required at this time but distancing will be enforced. 6. Homecoming procedures and activities will be posted next week. Please remember these procedures are for the safety of our students. Thank you for your cooperation! Go Comets!

Hinton students will be returning to the classroom traditionally or virtually tomorrow, Thursday, August 13 at 8:00 A.M. Students are asked to arrive at their site between 7:45 A.M. and 8:00 A.M. All students will have the opportunity to eat breakfast upon arrival in their classroom or homeroom. If you have not filled out a Child Nutrition form, please print it from the school's website, fill it out, and then return it to school ASAP. This information is vital to our schools funding. The health and safety of our students and employees is a top priority. Our students will report to their teacher or first hour teacher upon arrival to school. No assemblies or group meetings will be taking place. Please talk with your child concerning their responsibility of themselves to be safe and healthy. Encourage them to wash their hands and use hand sanitizer as well as keep a distance between them and others. Although Hinton Schools is on PLAN A (mask are highly recommended), please go ahead and send a mask with your child. We have disposable mask available if they do not have one. The Caddo County Health Department ,Oklahoma State Health Department, and the CDC are the best resources for current information about Coronavirus. Please continue to refer to the schools app in order that you know the PLAN situation as it can change rapidly and cause us as a school to pivot to A or C. Again, currently we are on PLAN A. We all want this to be as smooth as possible but please know this is uncharted territory. Remember to be patient and kind as we work to make this the best experience possible for your child. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's principal. counselor, or teacher. Hinton School employee's are looking forward to a good start. Thank you for your continued support of our district. Mrs. Derryberry Superintendent

Hinton Needs Bus Drivers!
To those signing up with 4H in Hinton..... I just got a call from the county extension office. The caddo county foundation has offered an enrollment fee match this year. So when you go to enroll, select pay with check instead of pay online. Then you can send a check with your kiddo to school for $10 (instead of $20) after you fill out the enrollment info. https://ok.4honline.com/Login.aspx?403D4055736D595471472F67674D3D
