Starting Monday, every student will need a pair of corded, plug in headphones for their Chromebooks. Please help us out by grabbing these over the weekend 🙂 please reach out to Mrs. House at laci.house@hintonschools.org if you need any help getting these! Thank you!!

7th grade ELA practiced listening and speaking skills where the students teamed up to play blind folded jenga. Speakers had to adjust their directions to be very specific and their partners had to listen carefully and follow directions. What a FUN game that covers 7th grade standards! Learning needs to be enjoyable!! ☄️ #smartercomets

So many neat activities to "Get to Know" our students for the new year! Our teachers are going above and beyond...keep your 👀 open for more exciting things to come!! ☄️ #smartercomets

A fan favorite of many, Karen Coffey, came to the middle school to present awards for the Ruth Fisher Summer Reading Program. The kids got the best prize, FAIR 🎟s!
5th grade- Brayden Homier
6th grade- Kylie Ferguson, Peyton Ingram, and Abigail Ferguson
The middles school is really working hard to reignite our students ❤️ for reading and this was a great kickoff!! ☄️ #smartercomets

We are fast approaching the end to our first full week of school at Hinton Middle School! The kids and teachers are off to a GREAT start! 7th grade students in Mrs. Crawford's STEM class did some charting and graphing with bags of Skittles. Raise your hand if you knew each bag of Skittles DID NOT have the same number of candies in each bag?! 🙋♀️ They then problem solved ways that the company could ensure the same amount in each bag. Great ideas and a great classroom!! #smartercomets ☄️
