☄️Hinton Elementary☄️We celebrated our students during Friday (11/22) morning assembly! These girls placed either 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the North Caddo Conservation District Poster Contest. Congratulations to Halsey Fontenot, Ainsley Eminger, Emily Lara, Kierra Wardwell, Neelie Weathers, Oaklee Baker, April Atilano, and Yulimar Zatarain!

☄️ Hinton Middle School☄️Mrs. New’s 7th grade ELA classes completed One Pager book report projects this week over their Native American Heritage Month novel.
☄️ Hinton Middle School☄️ Students have been learning about hydraulics and they had to design and create their own, working project that included hydraulics.
☄️ Hinton Middle School☄️ Students had to design their own sports themed game and it had to work! They used magnets, pulleys, rubber bands etc. to make the games work.
☄️ Hinton Middle School☄️Last week we took our October students of the month to ASAP to enjoy a fountain drink, a snack and a little fresh air!!
☄️ Hinton Middle School☄️ 7th grade enjoyed their yearly owl pellet investigation. They found many cool bird and rodent parts!

☄️Staff Spotlight☄️
Yami Nygaard and Ben Hensen from Deutsche Windtechnik were guest speakers in our High School Careers Class. They shared about their careers in the wind turbine service and repair industry. Students learned about the training required for this industry. Did you know that you do not need a college degree to be a Wind Turbine Tech? Deutsche Windtechnik has their own specialized training program for their technicians, where they learn all of the skills needed for their job. Students got to hear about what it is like to climb 300 feet to the top of a wind turbine to complete the necessary maintenance and repairs. They also learned about other administrative and support positions in this industry. It was a really interesting experience!
The 2nd grade class and Hinton BETA Club are collecting items for the Clinton Veterans Center for Christmas. Please have the items to the school by Friday, December 6th. Thank you for your support!
