Kiddie Dance Camp Information

Our 2020 Seniors obtained their CPR training and certification yesterday. Thank you to our local EMTs for providing the training.

Our Hinton students along with their teacher, Mrs. Meysing and classroom assistant, Ms. Zella attended the Area Livestock Show in Weatherford. They participated in Showstoppers- students were paired with an FFA student and given the opportunity to exhibit a show animal in a class of their own.

Hinton Middle School participated in the OK 2020 Trash Poster Calendar Contest! We had some GREAT entries!!

Hinton Middle School has some EXCITING service projects happening! We love our community and everything they do to help our schools. We wanted to do something to show our appreciation.
6th Grade will be collecting cases of water to donate to our local fire departments. Our firemen are headed into their hot and busy firefighting season. Cases of water can be dropped off at HMS until March 11th. Our Parent-Teacher Conferences would be a great opportunity to come in and visit with your child’s teachers and drop off your bottles of water.
7th Grade will be putting together care packages and cards for several of our soldiers that are currently deployed and that have connections within the town of Hinton. We are working to bless about 8 soldiers. We are hoping to personalize these care packages with specific things that each soldier likes, so we are going to take monetary donations and purchase the supplies. We are asking that each 7th grader that is able, donate $4.00. If you would like to donate more than the $4.00, we will put every cent of the donations to good use. We are forever grateful for those who serve in our U.S. Military and we want to show our appreciation through these packages. We will be taking donations until March 1st.

Seniors,
Don't forget this Thursday, January 30 @ 9:00 we will meet in the High School Library for CPR training.

Sydney Gragg competed in the 2020 Western Equipment Ag Tech Open Invitational on January 18, 2020, at the Western Equipment service shop in Amarillo, Texas. The goal of this contest is both to celebrate the skills needed to perform such a job, as well as expose students to the opportunities available within the agricultural mechanization field, specifically with Western Equipment. Students had to apply mechanical knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills and interact with industry professionals.Sydney placed second in the competition and was awarded a $15,000 scholarship and $2,500 worth of tools.
