Homecoming Parade

One of the many great traditions at Hinton is our annual homecoming football game. This year's event will take place Friday, September 16. Activities will start at 6:30 P.M. with the presentation of the homecoming court, followed by kickoff against the Carnegie Wildcats at 7:00 P.M.

This year’s theme for homecoming is “Blast from the Past”. On Wednesday, Hinton students will participate in a “Back to the Future” dress-up day where they can dress up as popular characters from the past or the future. Thursday will be Bikers vs Surfers and Friday will be the annual crazy red and white dress-up day. Class competitions will be held and the winning class will be announced during the football game. Friday morning will be a pep rally in the dome featuring your HHS Comet Cheerleaders, the Pride of Hinton Marching Band, male cheerleading, and a relay competition between the classes. The annual homecoming parade will begin at 2:00, leaving from the high school and parading downtown. Once on Main Street, the queen candidates will be introduced, followed by performances from the HHS Comet Cheerleaders and The Pride of Hinton.

Of course, the main event will take place at 7:00 P.M. at Jim Seurer Field as the Comets take on Carnegie. We would love for all Comet fans to participate in the activities as the Comets blast past the Wildcats!
