At Hinton Schools, we are dedicated to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all attendees at athletic events. In light of recent incidents at schools across Oklahoma, we are implementing new security procedures for home football games and other athletic events hosted at Hinton Schools.
Effective immediately, the following security procedures will be enforced at all home games:
- Parent/Guardian Supervision: All students in grades PK-4th grades must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Re-Entry to Events: There will be NO re-entry to any event unless given special permission by the gate staff of an administrator.
- Backpacks: Students will not be able to enter an event with a student backpack. The student athletes participating in the event are allowed to bring their uniformed backpacks only.
- Gate Security: Hinton Police Officers will be stationed at the entrances of events.
- Law Enforcement: All law enforcement agencies will have on-duty and off-duty officers in attendance at events.
- Additional Staff: Games will have an increased presence of Hinton Staff.
Spectators are encouraged to speak out if they see or hear anything suspicious. Staff and law enforcement will be available on site.
The safety of our students, staff, and community remains our priority at Hinton Schools. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we work to make football games and athletic events safe for everyone to enjoy.
